Latisse Eyelash Treatment – Minneapolis St. Paul, MN
Millions of women suffer from eyelashes that are inadequate or skimpy. It’s a medical condition called hypotrichosis, and it can appear at any age. Until recently, the only solution was to try to enhance eyelashes with mascara or to use artificial lashes to obtain that natural eye beauty every woman wants. With the introduction and FDA approval of Latisse from Allergan, a new, clinically tested way for most women to stimulate the growth of their own longer, fuller, darker lashes has revolutionized eyelash care forever.
Available only by prescription from medical professionals, Latisse isn’t a cosmetic solution. It stimulates your own upper eyelash follicles to grow thicker, longer, fuller lashes. No other product has been approved by the FDA for this use. It doesn’t work overnight and can take up to 2 months to achieve its maximum results, as shown in the before and after photos. Our Twin Cities medical spa is proud to offer this new product, after careful screening.
Is Latisse Right for You?
Most women with hypotrichosis can use Latisse. However certain eye conditions, such as increased intraocular pressure or risk factors for glaucoma require careful monitoring. A small number of women experience side effects which may require discontinuation of its use. If side effects occur, you should contact your medical professional right away. We’ll explain what to watch for if you choose this product.
How to Use Latisse
It is applied daily, in the evening, using a special, sterile applicator, to the upper eyelid at the base of the eyelashes. You’ll remove your contact lenses before this application. Only one drop of the solution is used for each eyelid, and a new applicator is used for each eye. After use, the applicator is discarded. Special care must be taken to avoid contamination of the product and its applicators. Your medical professional will help you understand this process.
You can expect to see significant results from daily use within a two-month period. To maintain the continuing growth, you need to continue to use it daily. If you discontinue its use, your lashes will return to their previous appearance over several weeks.
How Much Does Latisse Cost?
The cost of Latisse depends on the length of the treatment. During your free consultation, we will explain how it works and give you the price information.
