What Is the Procedure Like?
Prior to treatment, we will review your complete medical history to determine how long you have had a problem with your veins and the severity of your condition. A typical session takes about 30 minutes. We will inject a sclerosing agent into the affected veins, with approximately one injection administered for every inch of spider vein. Afterward, you may be asked to wear special heavy-duty stockings to keep pressure on the veins. This will reduce bruising and help keep the injected veins closed. Bruises around the treated areas usually disappear after the first week. Additional injections may be needed and your final results may not be apparent for several months. Most women experience 60% to 80% improvement, as seen in the above before and after photos.
