What to Expect from A Restylane® Treatment
During a consultation, your Consultative Skin Care professional will carefully evaluate your skin and the lines you want smoothed. She will then plan the injections that will give you the smoother skin you expect. She will also explain what results you can expect and inform you about all aspects of the treatment and side effects that may occur.
If your Restylane® treatment is typical, it will take about an hour. Small amounts of Restylane® gel are injected into the skin, immediately producing volume that smooths the appearance of deep lines and wrinkles. You’ll see the result right away. The injections leave no scars or traces on the skin, so you can resume normal activities right away.
After treatment, you may notice slight redness, swelling, tenderness and an itching sensation in the area treated. This minor discomfort is temporary, and disappears in just a few days. In two or three weeks, you may have follow-up treatments to further refine the results.
